The integration of Valentin RENOUX (graduate of Sciences Po Paris, Master’s in Public Affairs with a focus on Energy, and of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Master’s in Environmental Law) as a Partner marks the successful culmination of the partnership established two years ago between LexCase and Valentin, and the growth of the firm’s Environment and Energy Law Department.

After 10 years of experience within the legal department of RTE (Electricity Transmission Network), first as a public/environmental law legal advisor and later as Head of the Mediterranean Legal Division, Valentin founded his own law firm in 2020. His practice focused on environmental law, energy, and infrastructure. This eventually led to a partnership with LexCase in 2023.

Valentin Renoux and his team assist private and public clients, providing both advisory and litigation services for projects and activities supporting the energy and ecological transition. They have developed a recognized expertise in renewable energy law and energy networks and markets regulation.

Integrating Valentin’s practice into the firm has been a true success, aligning with the needs of a rapidly growing field that will now benefit from a dedicated partner. Valentin shared his enthusiasm: “I am delighted and proud to join the LexCase partnership. This represents the natural culmination of a partnership established in 2023, which highlighted significant synergies with LexCase. It also allowed me to better understand this firm, whose direction, dynamism, and values I fully embrace.”

His Practice in Detail:

Environmental Law:

  • Environmental assessments,
  • Public information and participation,
  • Single environmental permit,
  • Protected species and habitats,
  • Classified installations (ICPE), water resources (IOTA), and waste management,
  • Prevention of natural and technological risks, etc.

Energy and Infrastructure:

  • Administrative project authorizations (renewable energy, hydrogen, storage…),
  • Land security (public domain/private domain/private property),
  • Grid connection and access,
  • Production valuation, energy purchases, aggregation,

  • Other regulatory matters (agrivoltaics, individual and collective self-consumption, storage, biofuels, flexibility solutions…).

The department has developed a particularly recognized expertise in renewable energy law and supports numerous renewable energy developers and producers in their projects.
